General Questions

Q: What kind of products do you sell in your online bag making shop?
A: At Me Made Makes, I stock a full range of bag making supplies and hardware, including clasps, zips, straps, bag feet, and interfacings. I also sell my handmade bags, which are the result of my bag-making tutorials on The Bag Makers Sew-Ciety YouTube channel.

Q: Do you sell finished bags as well as bag making supplies?
A: Yes! As well as selling bag hardware, interfacings, and bag-making essentials, I also offer a selection of handmade bags crafted during my sewing tutorials. These are perfect if you love unique, handcrafted bags but don’t sew yourself.

Q: Do you offer bag making kits?
A: I don’t currently sell full kits, but all the bag hardware and interfacings I use in my YouTube tutorials are available to buy from Me Made Makes. You can watch my tutorials and grab everything you need from my shop!

Q: I would love to collaborate with you on a project is this something you would be interested in?

A: I love a bit of collaboration please drop me a message via the contact page and I will get back to you.

Q: I seem to be having issue on the website at the moment can you help?

A: Oh the wonderful world of technology isn't it great? Having helped with various glitches over the last few years, these seem to be the solutions that work.​

Deleting the cache and cookies on your browser whether you are on a phone, tablet or a computer is often the main solution to any website problems.

If you are on an iPhone, iPad or Mac make sure you are on the latest version of IOS. IOS updates are a main cause of glitches when using an apple device.

If you are on a PC and deleting your cache hasn't helped try a different browser such as chrome or Microsoft edge this can often solve the issue.

I find that most issues occur when using the website are when accessing it via a tablet or iPad, if this is the case log on via a computer or laptop this will usually solve most issues.

If you have tried all of these solutions and none of these have worked drop me message via the contact page with screen shots of the error messages you are receiving and when the errors are occurring and I will contact the tech team to look in them for you.​​​

Orders & Shipping.

Q: Where do you ship from?
A: I’m based in the UK, and all orders are packed and shipped from here.

Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: At the moment, I only ship within the UK.

​

Q: How much is delivery?
A: Shipping costs depend on the size and weight of your order. You'll see the exact cost at checkout. I aim to keep delivery charges as fair as possible!

Q: How long does delivery take?
A: I dispatch orders within 1-2 working days. Standard UK delivery takes around 3-5 working days. Please be aware I run the business solo so during busy periods dispatch time may need to be extended. You will receive a confirmation email once your order is placed and then a follow up email once it has shipped, please check your junk folder for these emails as they automated.

Q: Can I track my order?
A: If you choose a tracked shipping option at checkout, you’ll receive tracking details in your confirmation email. You can also log into your account and find your tracking info on your order (if tracking was purchased)

Q: What if my order hasn’t arrived?
A: If your order hasn’t arrived within the estimated timeframe, please check your tracking details (if applicable) and drop me a message via the contact page. Please allow up to 10 working days before contacting to advise of a lost parcel this is the timescale I have to adhere to with Royal Mail. It may be worth checking with your local delivery office or post person to see if t order has been a failed delivery

Q: How can I update my details, check on the status of an order or check past orders?

A: If you log into your account at the top of the website you are able to access you stored information such as address, past orders, your subscriptions and access The Bag Makers Sew-ciety Club Area. You can update address, amend your subscription to the club and check the status of orders from your account area​

Q: I have placed an order and been charged twice.

A: Occasionally there are glitches with technology and I apologise if there has been an issue with your order, usually in this instances one payment will bounce back into your account after a few working days. If this doesn't happen and both payments leave your account please get in touch sending a screen shot of the payments and I will sort for you.

Q: I have placed my order but need to add to it can I do this?

A: If you order hasn't shipped I am able to combine orders or add items to your unshipping order. Please note if your orders are placed on separate days I cannot guarantee that both orders will go at the time the first order would have shipped. Orders are picked and packed in order of being placed, so combined orders may need to go together within the delivery timescales of the second order.

Q: There is an item I wish is buy that is out of stock when will be restocked?

A: I am constantly restocking the site, when an item is out of stock there is option to sign up to an email alert when they item is restocked automatically. Some items do take longer to restock than others as they are custom made but I do my best to restock as quickly as possible.

Payments & Returns

Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: I accept most major debit and credit cards, as well as PayPal.

​

Q: Can I return or exchange an item?
A: I accept returns on unused bag making supplies within 14 days of delivery. Unfortunately, I can’t accept returns on cut interfacings or handmade bags unless there is a fault. Please check the Returns Policy for full details.

​

Q: I have been refunded for an out of stock item or for an over payment of postage but it isn't showing in my bank yet?

A: Refunds can take up to 3-5 working days this does not include weekends and bank holidays, if a refund still isn't showing in your account after this time please contact me via the contact page and I will look into it for you.

Q: What should I do if I receive a faulty or incorrect item?
A: I do my best to check every order, but if something isn’t right, please contact me as soon as possible, and I’ll sort it out for you.

Bag Making & Products.

Q: I saw a bag on your YouTube channel – can I buy it?
A: Some of the bags I make in my tutorials are available to buy, but they sell out quickly! Check the Handmade Bags section of my shop to see what’s available.

Q: Where do you get your fabrics and vinyl?
A: I don’t sell fabric or vinyl, but I always mention where I buy mine in my YouTube tutorials. If you’re after a particular print or material, check the video description for links!

​

Q: Do you stock everything you use in your YouTube tutorials?
A: I stock most of the bag hardware, interfacings, and essentials used in my tutorials. If you don’t see something, feel free to ask – I may be able to source it for you.

​

Q: Can I request a custom bag?
A: I don’t take custom orders at the moment, but if you see something you love in my shop, grab it before it’s gone!

​

Q: I’m new to bag making – where should I start?
A: Start by watching my bag making tutorials on The Bag Makers Sew-Ciety YouTube channel! You’ll find loads of tips and step-by-step guidance, and you can get all the bag hardware and interfacings you need from my shop.
